I was born in 1967 in the village of Oudenbosch. In 2002 I married with my wife Connie and in 2003 en 2004 my sons (Rik and Tiemen) were born. Currently I live in the village of Sprundel which is about 50 km's south of Rotterdam, about 50 km's from Antwerp and about 10 km's from the Belgium border.

I passed for my first license (D) in november 1995 which allowed me to make contacts on 2 metres band with the call PD0RYS. The next exams (6 months later) so in may 1996 I passed for my C license which allowed me to work also all frequencies above 2 metres band using the call PE1RFX. In december 2000 I passed for my cw exams (at a rate of 12 wpm) which allowed to make contacts on all Ham Radio frequencies. I had the luck that I could could choose my own callsign with 2 character suffix.

Because of the restricted space around my house you can hear me mostly on 20, 17, 15, 12 and 10 metres band. I have a FD-4 but had to fold it back into my backyard so it isn't working to well for DX. At the moment I'm using an Optibeam OB-95 antenne.

I love to work DX stations in any mode that is used but have I have a preference for phone and RTTY. With lower conditions or few DX stations on the band I also love to ragchew know and then.
